ceasing to exist

Sometimes, well most times, I think I get forgotten if I am not in sight.  I know everyone is busy and they have their own lives to lead.  When a person does not have a circle of support, sometimes being alone is not the best option because when thoughts begin to race, and darkness sets in, if you haven't been a presence in anyone's life, no one will notice your absence.  I used to really proactively keep in touch with people, but there comes a time when you decide that one-sided friendships are worse than no friendships. For now though, writing is a way to continue to exist -Abbye
